Mission
The mission of the Mindful Art & Movement program is to help K–12 youth strengthen emotional regulation, executive functioning, and self-awareness through creative expression and structured movement. This program nurtures the whole child while supporting inclusive practices and aligning with CPS priorities in mental health, equity, and trauma-informed education.
Program Overview
Mindful Art & Movement is a trauma-informed, neurodiversity affirming enrichment program that combines expressive arts, mindfulness, and movement to help students regulate emotions, improve focus, and build confidence. Designed for all learners including those with IEPs, 504 Plans, or sensory/emotional needs the program offers engaging, hands-on experiences to build critical life and learning skills.
This program is ideal for both general education and specialized support classrooms and is rooted in evidence-based strategies to support social-emotional wellness.
